Terms of Service
Effective June 23, 2026
Welcome to Pawvention Wellness (operated by VELD.ATTIRE LLC, a New York limited liability company) ““Pawvention,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, consultations, first aid and CPR training, household/corporate pet-care education, memberships, and products (the “Services”). By booking or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
Scope of practice. Pawvention provides preventive wellness education, first aid and CPR instruction, and household pet-care standards for dogs and cats. Pawvention does not practice veterinary medicine, diagnose conditions, prescribe or administer medication, or provide behavioral/obedience training. Clinical concerns are referred to a licensed veterinarian.
Acceptance & Eligibility:
You must be at least 18 to book and pay for Services. Each attendee must book and pay individually. Minors may attend training only with the consent of a parent or guardian and receive a Certificate of Attendance, not certification.
Our Services:
Services include private consultations (the Vital Check), Pet First Aid & CPR training and certification, household and corporate pet-care standards, non-medical at-home support, curated wellness products, and service packages, as described at the time of booking.
Bookings, Payments & Deposits:
A non-refundable 50% deposit reserves your booking; the remaining balance is due on or before the service date. Square, our third-party processor, handles payments.
Cancellations, Rescheduling & Credits:
Rescheduling requires at least 72 hours’ notice. Deposits and amounts paid are non-refundable in all cases, but may be applied to a rebooking within 3 months of the original booking date. Changes with less than 72 hours’ notice and no-shows are treated as cancellations; you retain your 3-month rebooking credit, but no refund is issued.
Pet First Aid & CPR Certification:
Genuine certification requires completing the full course (~3 hours) and is valid for 2 years, after which a refresher is recommended. Full certification is available in person or virtually. Short courses, lectures, modules, or partial attendance earn a Certificate of Attendance, not certification. Certification reflects course completion only and is not a guarantee of any outcome in a real emergency.
Training Conduct, Pets & Service Animals:
Training is hands-on (manikins and physical maneuvers). By attending, you accept the ordinary physical risks of participation. Training is educational and is not a substitute for professional veterinary or medical care. No pets are permitted during first aid/CPR classes. Service animals are welcome but require valid documentation on hand and must be disclosed to the instructor at the time of class booking.
Private Consultations / The Vital Check:
Your pet must be present and available during private consultations. No documentation is required before the meeting. The Vital Check is a preventive wellness observation and educational service — not a veterinary examination, diagnosis, or treatment. Anything warranting attention is referred to a licensed veterinarian.
At-Home Support:
Any at-home support is non-medical (e.g., grooming, hygiene, nail care, comfort and mobility support). Pawvention does not administer medication or injections or perform veterinary nursing procedures.
Service Packages:
Pawvention offers services as packages rather than memberships. Package “The Lifesaver” (Pet First Aid & BLS/CPR Training & Certification) is delivered in group sessions only, booked based on scheduled availability; full-course completion confers genuine certification (valid for 2 years). Package “Corporate Care” programs are arranged by consultation (a call is required) and quoted per engagement. “Privé” (Bespoke) courses and services are arranged by consultation (a call is required). Bespoke courses confer a Certificate of Attendance, not full certification, unless Package 1 is added.
Corporate & Group Bookings:
For business and corporate clients: bookings may be invoiced; a confirmed headcount is required in advance; pricing is by custom quote; the client is responsible for providing a suitable, safe on-site space; rescheduling a group booking requires at least 7 days’ notice; otherwise the deposit and cancellation terms above apply to the booking as a whole. Pawvention provides training equipment, and the client provides a suitable, safe on-site space. The assumption-of-risk and disclaimers in these Terms apply to all attendees.
Travel:
Services are based in New York City and the Hamptons. Engagements beyond NYC (including the Hamptons in season) are available by arrangement and are quoted and billed per trip, subject to a day-rate minimum, plus service fees.
Safety & Right to Refuse:
For the safety of all involved, Pawvention may pause, decline, or end a session — including where an animal is aggressive or distressed, or the environment is unsafe. No refund is given in these circumstances, but your 3-month rebooking credit still applies.
Marketing & Media Consent:
Pawvention will not use your pet’s records, photos, or details for marketing or promotional purposes without a separate signed consent form.
Products:
Curated products, including the Pawvention Pet First Aid Kit, are wellness-forward consumer goods, not medical devices. Unless defective, opened, or used products are non-refundable.
Intellectual Property:
All course materials, manuals, content, and branding are the property of Pawvention. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them without our written consent.
Insurance:
Pawvention maintains professional liability insurance covering its Services.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability:
Services are provided on an”“as is” basis and are preventive and educational in nature. To the maximum extent permitted by New York law, Pawvention is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant Service.
Indemnification:
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pawvention, VELD. ATTIRE LLC, its members, and staff from claims arising out of your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
Confidentiality:
We treat client information as confidential. For private (UHNW) clients, a separate confidentiality/NDA agreement may also apply.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution:
The laws of the State of New York govern these Terms. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith through confidential mediation. If mediation does not resolve the matter, the dispute will be subject to the courts located in New York County, New York.
Changes to These Terms:
We may update these Terms from time to time and will post the updated version with a new effective date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance.
